The Great Outdoors.Posted by admin on May 26th, 2008
We have been looking at patio furniture lately since Edil was able to finally open the french sliding doors last weekend – it was marvelous save for flies!!! There are a lot lately because of the weather we are having. I can just imagine barbecue grills every weekend. I just hope we can weed out the grass soon – it is getting higher and higher! So many work that needs to be done outdoors!
Wii {we}Posted by admin on May 18th, 2008
This one is a funny one. So the husband comes home yesterday loaded with goodies. He bought Matthew several Yu-gioh notebooks, Marvel comics and a basketball jersey. I got a new phone (slightly used, so I can use my other line), and Martha got nothing. Wait, she got french fries
(She was happiest about it nonetheless). So after our massage, we sit together doing nothing, just eating leftover fries. He was apparently bored. So he blurts out, “Let’s buy a Wii.” And Im all, “Are you serious?” And then he says, “Of course NOT!” And we laugh. Matthew got all excited about it.
Im seriously going to buy one for us though, I just need to pay some bills and get my application for BON California done. It is cheaper when bought overseas so I just might have a relative (or Glo) buy us one. I was looking for accessories, consoles, games over at ShopWiki. Scrapping boards have Wii threads popping up most of the time so Im fairly excited the mommies like me are also getting hooked!
So hook me up. What Wii games do you recommend? I want adventure Wii games or simulation ones. I just saw a Super Mario Wii game and am beyond excited because this is the ONLY game Ive played when I was a kid
And then I learned Wii is pronounced with a long E
MoviesPosted by admin on May 18th, 2008
I havent been to the movies in years!! I havent tried the new theater seating in most new malls. I honestly dont like going to the movies anyways. Id rather wait for the movie release in DVD and then watch it at home – who cares if its not on full-screen and sound surround? At least I can replay it over and over again and be in my jammies (I think Im anti-social that way).
Any movies you can recommend that I need to watch?
Sugar and SpicePosted by admin on May 17th, 2008
With the husband being gone during weekdays, we need to exert more effort in squeezing in quality time when he is here. It competes with the quality time with the children, of course, so weekends are very jampacked and busy busy busy. No, we havent resorted to me donning sexy costumes, hahaha, but talk time is always cherished. Talking in person is always better than talking through YMs, cellphones or emails.
Tub and BathPosted by admin on May 17th, 2008
Perhaps the only negative I can give about the new house, aside from the water supply, is the small bathroom. Id love to have a walk in dresser, a walk in tub, complete with everything you can see in a hotel and more
Our bathroom is really small that you can splash water on the toilet when you are taking a bath! A walk in tub would be a dream come true!!
In general, walk-in baths allow for easy access to those who do not usually encounter accessible bathrooms in private homes. By having a walk-in tub, you provide a means for almost anyone to use your bathtub safely and with ease
It's the weekend…Posted by admin on May 17th, 2008
..which means the husband is here and I can finally have uninterrupted me time
. We just had our massages and boy, did it feel good! What made it better is that we only paid 1/4 the normal rate for massages in the city – you cant beat that even if you own massage chair! We will be getting massages every other week now – right in the comfort of our own homes. And I smell so good – care of Bath and Body Work’s Japanese Blossom lotion, my new favorite scent
Bed WeatherPosted by admin on May 17th, 2008
With two storms coming to the country, it certainly gets harder getting up in bed every morning. The weather has been really cold and chilly – I love it! It makes me wish we had tankless water heaters though. It is so hard to bathe in the mornings!!! I cant bear to not take a bath everyday – I just have to, even if I just laze around the house all day. Matthew, my son who goes to summer school, doesnt take a bath when preparing for school – he takes a bath after school so that the sun is shining bright already.
Our computer is slow slow slow.Posted by admin on May 17th, 2008
The husband is here and needless to say, our Torrent is queued up with a list a mile long of anime movies. It has taken our aging desktop to run so slow. We have 1GB of ram, but with Vista running as our OS, me downloading scrapbooking kits, blogging, doing layouts using Adobe and Torrent running, it is hard to have a decent speed of working atmosphere
. I hope we can buy at least another GB of RAM so this can at least work at the speed I want to be!
