Im holding out on some big news so far – we are going to be closing the deal later this afternoon and up until I dont see it materialize I wont be revealing it to anybody online soon. I guess I dont want to jinx it, and I dont want people to say Im completely crazy .

I have noticed I work better when Im at my father’s office. He has a desktop computer with a large LCD (flat) monitor and well, the office furniture just gives me the motivation to work faster and better.

I guess I focus better?
Dang, I need a space in our house just for me.

After five years of working in an industry that requires me to face a computer for 12 hrs a day, I would be needing glasses. And this comes after only 2 months of staying at home. Life is ironic. My officemates used to so jealous of my 20/20 vision. Apparently, it was all just fluke. Now to get me some stylish frames. There are Incredible Stylish New Frames From Zenni that are supposedly cheap. So I checked and got the shock of my life to find out that there are indeed Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses! I must have one bought for me soon. Apparently they market their merchandise direct to the public so there are no added prices from middlemen and advertising. Even Zenni Optical was on FOX news!

I was in Manila for two days last week, and while we were on the road going home, there was a speeding car that almost hit us at the expressway! Edil was so angry beyond belief. We were on a open jeep and for sure we would be thrown out and our kids will be immediately orphans! The car had a turbocharger which made it obnoxiously loud and had teenagers as its drivers and occupants. I offered a silent prayer to them — I hope they dont make their parents cry!!!

Edil is deadset on helping me lose BIG pounds before the year ends. He has given me diet pills which actually work, though it is on the pricier side (who said beauty is cheap?). It is worth it though. The name of the diet pill escapes me now but Im sure it sounds like Leptovox. Edil will buy more boxes for me and then give some to my Dad who is also obese, has COPD (therefore cannot exercise) and needs it. I am targetting 40lbs by December!

I have sworn to run this week. I kept my rubbershoes, some socks, track pants and couple of shirts (with change) at my parents’ place so that whenever I come there I can always run at the treadmill! The treadmill is in front of the TV so I can watch. However, I always have Martha in tow with me so it gets a little harder – I need to endure Shrek or Elmo or worse, Barney! Who will get motivated to run after that? Id need MP3 players to keep running.

I just got some bad news that two of our family friends has lost their homes in the US because they couldnt keep up with the monthly mortgage payments anymore. That and the news the employment there has been having massive lay-offs and retrenchments. Even big companies are in freeze hiring. If this crisis can happen in a big wig country like the US, what more small countries (add to that a country laden with corrupt officials and a government filled with red tape) like the Philippines?

It really is a crisis.
God help us.

I see blurry things lately and hate to admit I might need eyeglasses – me who had perfect vision despite of working in front of the PC for five years and studying endless nights nursing books. It might be high blood pressure or high blood sugar – in which case, Id gladly take the blurry eye vision

The problem is, I dont look nice wearing them. I dont have a nice straight nose and my eyes are too small to get recognized in glasses. I think I need the fashion police aka my sister Agnes to help me. LOL.

Any suggestions which glasses are nice to wear for a round face frame like mine?

I need to find a way to display our thousands of pictures. And voila! I found a solution – I can get a digital frame!

It would be such a cool thing to own especially with us who has tons of pictures – I can display our recent ones without having to pull money out for printing – and I can change it to my liking. My sister-in-law has one and they bought it from China where it is cheaper. I might have to request they buy two for me once they go back there.
