I have been watching too many movies obviously when I get paranoid about every room I am in and think there is a camera installed somewhere for spying.
It started with watching the movie, Enemy of the State. I could not believe cameras and tracking devices (with microphones at that) can be installed at EVERYTHING! Can you imagine having a Hidden Camera installed in the fire sensor alarm of your hotel room and that it can be simultaneously broadcasted someplace else?
Now I know how how reality shows are very popular. People are naturally spies and love gossip. We can be peeping toms without the added guilt and censure we will receive from other people. Don’t you agree? I actually am amazed how crystal clear the videos from hidden cameras can be and if they are accompanied with a mic, how you can hear conversations even if the camera is a few meters away.
Hidden cameras have its advantages and disadvantages. Hidden cameras (primarily those CCTVs) are installed at shops, banks, even at roads to monitor activities and prevent theft and robbery (and in the case of highways, decide how vehicular accidents and traffic violations came to be). However, as powerful as it is, there will be people who will be misusing it all the time.
