Tips on How to Complete Your Baby’s Nursery

When a couple finds out that they are expecting, they turn into excited would-be parents and spoil their child before he or she even comes out from the mother. Moms-to-be take care of themselves better, taking in every bit of pregnancy information she can get her hands on, listening to pregnancy advice, whether solicited or not and embarking on a different program on womens fitness which involves pregnant women.

When a couple finds out the gender of their baby, this is where they begin to get ideas for the baby’s room, the nursery. It is exciting and at the same time nerve-wracking, so the first step is to take a deep breath, relax and start looking around for inspiration, ideas and sample pictures.

Here are some tips on how to design your baby’s nursery:
1. Start early. Do not leave it to the last couple of months of your pregnancy before you start to make your plans. For a start, you are likely to be tired by then as your baby is sapping your energy and putting on weight. Starting early will give you the time you need to make all the necessary plans, makes budgeting easier and the process as a whole a lot less stressful.
2. Keep it simple. Remember the simpler your color schemes, the easier it will be to pair it with other items such a furniture and decorations.
3. Have a plan. Make a sketch on how and where you would like to put things and measure if it will fit.
4. Shop around. You are more likely to get better deals if you do not shop all at once from the same store. You can also consider having a baby wish list when your friends give you a baby shower.
5. Give space for growth and flexibility. Consider items that can last and can be used until your baby grows up, like a crib that can be transformed into a toddler bed or a high chair that can serve as an art chair in the future.
6. Have your own space there too. Chances are you will be spending a lot of sleepless nights with the baby when he arrives, so a comfortable chair or rocking chair, a rug, a table lamp and a few of your favorite things in the room can help you while away the time.

Comfy Couch

I was doing some research on a massage therapy program online a friend is keen to enroll in when I saw this very nice room. Its pieces are different and eclectic and yet they blend well together. I also love how comfy looking the couch is – and all that throw pillows in different colors! The different frames did it for me.

And did you notice what is on the chalkboard?

DWELL. to live in.

Awesome.

Inspiring Work from Life Stations

I would not buy hemogex or even my dream designer handbag if only I can have any of these rooms as my work corner – lighting and all. I love working during early mornings when the sun’s rays are really rays of sunshine than rays of death by harmful UV rays.

I have a lot of pegs for my future work corners. It ranges from full rooms to hallyways to nooks. Right now, a corner of a room would be fine for me.

Incorporating Art Details in the Kitchen

I have been debating with myself whether I can truly benefit from OxyElite Pro when I chanced upon these small but beautiful details in incorporating art pieces in the kitchen.

Look at the stamp of royalty in the basement kitchen. Love the combination of steel + wood:

Notice the stencil of a pink bird against the aqua-teal-bluish tint of the walls? Love it.

If I Had Money: Things I want to Buy for the House Edition

Forget about needing to apply for loans online to get the money. Here are some things I’d get for the house in a heartbeat if money is not an issue:

1. Our own house, of course.
2. It needs to have a separate family room, which can be our entertainment room. We are a family big into movies and games. We can just lock ourselves in this room and forget time.
3. Our own library, with floor to ceiling walls for shelves.
4. My own office nook. I prefer it to have its own bathroom and couch.
5. The Master Bedroom will have a walk-in closet, and a bathroom complete with a his and hers sink. A tub, of course.
6. A sprawling lawn with a blooming garden full of flowers.

I think I have just described my dream home!

Presently, I’d love the following:
1. An aircon big enough to fill the whole house with cold air.
2. An ergonomic chair for my work station
3. New bed linens, and a new bed mattress for our room.
4. New roof for our patio
5. New shelter for our dog Scamp.
6. New sofa/couch
7. A vanity dresser for our room
8. An altar
9. New shower heads in the bathroom
10. New Macbook laptop – but this one is just for me, really.

I wonder when we would be able to get everything on the list, especially the second part. These are real-life goals we will try to achieve until early next year. It will take a lot of hard work, a bit of penny-pinching and a lot of prayers to get these done!

Home Improvement Projects

We have a lot of home improvement projects for our little house. We really could not do so much because we only rent, so we invest on pieces of furniture we can take when we move out. We have managed to acquire and replace old pieces, little by little and we are proud to say we do not need to avail of faxless payday loans to be able to do so.

1. We were able to buy a top-loading washing machine – which has been a huge help to our househelp.
2. We were able to get a new TV with home theater system.
3. We were able to get a bunk bed for the kids.
4. We were able to buy an convection cooker, various cookware (multi-cooker and turbo-broiler), stainless cookware for the convection cooker and new plate storage cabinets.
5. My husband was able to build new shelves and even made my corkboard dream for my workstation. Too bad I haven’t even started on it yet.

We still want to:
1. Get a new dining and living room set.
2. Fix our kitchen area (in progress)
3. Get my workstation to accommodate two people working. I saw and fell in love a sleek glass table which is perfect for my iMac but it is quite expensive so I need to be practical and wait for a sale.
4. Get a dresser for our room.
5. And continually declutter. We are getting there.

I haven’t really thought much about how we will be able to get all of these done. But I have always trusted and believed in Divine Providence. I know He will give us what we need.

Funny T-Shirts

You often hear, perhaps, that laughter is the best medicine. (Although, whoever said that most likely has never had asthma because too much laughter causes asthma to attack.)

So, asthma aside, laughter gives someone a healthy benefit. Like smile, it is also contagious. There are different kinds of laughter, though. The teasing laughter and the genuine kind because something has made him or her to laugh.

How can you make others laugh? The most common one is to tell a joke but not everyone can deliver a joke. Another way is to wear funny t-shirts. Take note, though, that whatever it is you wear, it somehow tells the people around you that you support that joke. Some funny t-shirts are rather blunt and offensive but still funny to others. If you do not like to be associated with such, do not wear it. You may think it is funny but if someone else thinks it offensive and you care more about the person’s feelings, you better choose another way to be funny. Choose funny t-shirts that fit your personality, not just your body.

Remember, to be funny, you got to have a receptive audience. If you do not have that audience, being funny is not funny at all.

Bath Vanities

If you ask any woman if she would like one of those bath vanities, whether she will buy it or be given to her as a gift, what do you think will be her answer?

Bath vanities seem to be equated with women. Whether she can afford it or not, she will surely desire to have one of those in her bathroom. Her bathroom may be small at the moment to accommodate one of the smallest available but it will not stop her into thinking what else she can do to have it sooner or later.

Having one of those bath vanities boosts the woman’s spirit. It makes her happy. When she is happy, her work is much better. The problems that will face her will just be challenges. Once she goes into her bathroom, problems would seem to fade away, though for a moment, it helps her face reality with such an uplifted spirit.

Men, would you like to shut up your nagging wife? If you can, and you have not yet, try showing her one of those bath vanities and tell her she can choose among those and you will be buying her one as your anniversary gift to her. After all, you need her in many aspects.

When To Pay For Translation Services

It was not until the existence of the internet and the invention of chat programs that people all over the world became more interested with learning about other people different from their nationality or race. It was also the start of the rise of frequency rate of inter-racial marriages. Since English is considered the universal language, English is also the general language used to connect with people who have different mother language. Even if the grammar is bad, as long as they understand each other, it is quite fine. Add to that the emoticons that help each chatter see or feel what the other is feeling. It works like the body language which is also universal, but action-based.

Years later, automatic translation services became available by Babel Fish, originally by Alta Vista (one of the web search engines) but now owned by Yahoo. You just enter a word or phrase in the original language and choose the target language and in one click you get the target message as translated. A few years later, Google Translation made available the one-click webpage translation. Automatic translation became better…but not quite…sometimes, the translation is funny as homonyms are encountered.

So when are you going to pay for translation services? When you have your global business. Any business, for that matter, which is marketed to other countries other than your own. That is to make your website professional. Nothing accidentally funny. Just what is meant and how it is meant. Hire translation services that translate right 100% of the time.
