Wireless Driveway Alarm Benefits And TipsPosted by admin on October 27th, 2011
Reasons to get a wireless driveway alarm and tips on how to use it.
Protecting your home is very important and any security measures you undertake should not be confined to your house alone. The perimeter of your home should be well-protected as well, including your driveway.
Nowadays, the security of your driveway can be easily ensured with a wireless driveway alarm. This electronic device can easily let you know of any uninvited visitors in the premises of your property. Having a wireless driveway alarm can help alert you to robbers and intruders. If you want a secure home, you should go beyond the usual wireless doorbell and invest in a good wireless driveway alarm. Below are some of the benefits of installing one in your home.
Discreet installation. Having a wireless driveway alarm means that you can easily install it in a hidden location. You do not have to worry about any wires that can be easily seen by intruders and you can install it anywhere you want. This will prevent them from making efforts not to trip the alarm. With a basic wireless driveway alarm, you can often install the transmitter and the receiver up to 200 feet away from each other.
Ability to detect motion. Wireless driveway alarms function with the use of motion detectors. A basic wireless driveway alarm is usually equipped with a motion sensor that can detect motion up to 20 feet away.
Monitor Children. If you have children then you know how important it is to supervise them at all times especially when they are playing outside the house. Some wireless driveway alarms are equipped with a small camera and a video monitor to give you a visual of the surroundings of your house. This is particularly useful for those who have a pool and little children because it makes it easy for them to watch over the children even from inside the house.
Customer Supervision. A driveway alarm can also be useful in business establishments. You can be easily made aware of customers entering and leaving your business establishment if you have a wireless driveway alarm.
Helpful Features. Numerous kinds of wireless driveway alarms are now available. Some of the additional features that you can have are lights, sirens, automatic dialing, and voice recordings. You can record messages on your wireless driveway alarm to ward off troublemakers who might wander onto your front lawn. Your wireless driveway alarm can also serve as path lights around your property, only lighting up when there is movement detected. Sometimes these are good enough to ward off possible intruders.
Intercom System. Some wireless driveway alarm can function as an intercom system so that you can easily communicate with visitors outside your home.
The type of wireless driveway alarm that is best for your home depends on features that you want on your wireless driveway alarm. Go for standard alarms if you live in a relatively quiet area. Aside from this, the prices of most wireless driveway alarms range from $40 to $700 so make sure not to purchase a wireless driveway alarm that has features that you will not be able to use add-on features later.

What is really great about having a wireless driveway alarm at your home is that you can install it anywhere you like – the yard, beneath the eaves of the roof, at the gate or somewhere around the perimeters of the property.

My husband and I makes sure that we keep our kids safe and protected even if we are in the comfort of our home. This is one the main reason why we are getting a wireless driveway alarm. This is one great way of monitoring the kids when they are playing outside since most comes with a small camera and a video monitor. Bigger houses install a wireless driveway alarm to protect not only the house occupants and the property but also the vehicles in the garage. By detecting the moves in your yard by day and by night, the alarm will make car theft very unlikely.

Our doorbell got busted because kids in our neighborhood played with it and pressing it several times even if they don’t need anything from us. I told my Dad to install a wireless doorbell so it will be easier, if it breaks we can easily install a new one unlike our old busted one which has wires. I will definitely visit the site. Thanks!

A wireless doorbell can definitely ensure the safety of my kids whenever I have to work late at night. Even if they have a baby sitter or a relative of mine stay in, just the fact that they can ask who is at the door instead of coming near the door or even let them in the gate is a good precautionary measure already.
