Methods on Getting Hair Extensions

Have you ever wondered how Hollywood stars can change hair colors and lengths at their movies like how they change their clothes? It is so hard to take care of one’s hair – when you expose it to much chemical ingredients like hair dyeing solutions and perming/straightening methods, your hair will experience significant damage.

However, if you want to change your hair styles, you might want to consider getting lace front wigs or clip on hair extensions. Most of the extensions and hair pieces these days look so real.

Here are some methods on how to get extensions:

Micro Hair Extension. This micro hair extension method utilizes silicone micro ring or micro cylinder. It uses no glue, no wax, no heat nor chemicals. A strand of natural hair is combined with a strand of extension of the same color and texture and placed inside the micro ring using a special technique. This is easy and painless to install. Short hair is instantly transformed to long hair strand by strand using the micro hair extension. This method is also known as micro loop or micro link hair extension.

Weft Hair Extension. This method also utilizes rings and loops. A weft of hair is a hair track of several inches attached to the top. Weft hair extension can be of several sub-types. One sub-type is called Flattracks. This is different from the micro hair extension method which works with strands.

Glue/Bond – Based Attachments. This method uses glue or bond like the Cold Fusion Ultrasonic Technique, Keratin Fusion Bond, and Hot Microfusion Bond method.

Clip-on. As the name implies, these cheap human hair extensions are clipped into the natural hair. This is the cheapest and the easiest type because they are temporary. It may take a few minutes to put on and being removed at night before going to bed.

Sign of Aging: Melasma

You might have heard of it but it still doesn’t ring a bell. But you most likely have seen it, as it is found in most people, especially those aging and those who do not take sun protection when out in the sun.

Melasma, commonly known as age spots, certainly aren’t harmful but they do cause frustration and annoyance in those who develop patches of it on their face and hands. It is is the result of an increase in pigmentation in various areas of the body, occurring mostly on the face, the back of the hands, forearms and shoulders. The darkened patches of skin are believed to be caused by hormones that produce melanin pigments in places where the skin is exposed to sunlight, and women who spent much of their youth sunbathing can expect to develop melasma later on in life.

Acne Scars and age spots are the two most common problems of elderly people. It’s a good thing that we now have advanced technology which can even erase scars and age spots like they didn’t exist. Cosmetic services are now non-invasive, and don’t require you undergoing anesthesia. Botox DC can be done while you are wide awake!

Cheap Nursing Scrub Uniforms

I have two nieces who passed the nursing board exams with flying colors and they got job offers within two weeks after taking their oath. Now they are looking for quality but affordable nursing scrubs for the uniforms. They do not have a lot of money to spare so they are hoping to find some cheap scrubs.

It’s a good thing I googled where to buy cheap scrubs online and we discovered the BlueSkyScrubs.com web site. They have nice, 100% cotton scrubs in a variety of colors and prints and my nieces are over the moon on how little they are going to spend for their first uniforms.

Slowing Down.

Happy December!

I promised myself I will be slowing down this month, work-wise and will be focusing on my home and family to celebrate the season and not just Christmas Day. So lately I have been going to bed on time, not spending much time in front of the computer at night and it has done wonders to my stress levels. I still have a lot to do, don’t get me wrong and Im still quite afraid that I wont be able to pay the bills on time, but I trust in the Divine Providence. I work normal hours this week and I hope it will last until the end of the month. Now, I just need to list all the things I plan to accomplish today like getting a life insurance quote for my niece, and I am all set.

Happy Thursday!

Making Working at Home Work

If you have never worked at home, you might not realize what the real considerations are about it. Naturally, when it comes to things like where you can most comfortably work, what will minimize the distractions that are going to be inevitable, and what hours of the day you plan to work (and no, “whenever you can” is not a good answer), those are relatively easy to deal with. The really hard part of working from your own home is dealing with the sporadic nature of being online. While this isn’t the 1990s, when everything was like the “Wild West” of never knowing what tomorrow would bring, the Net hasn’t been civilized just yet.

There is still the issue of people and organizations who just do not want to pay, for instance. They might talk a fair game about how they want to build a long lasting relationship with you, and praise your work at every turn. But then, after you’ve delivered something great (as you most definitely will), they never cough up the money they owe you. Now, as a professional it is generally considered crass to talk much about money, but everyone deserves to be compensated fairly for their efforts and skills. To sacrifice that is the really crass thing.

Consider what happens when someone doesn’t pay, and you need the money. There are sites like PayDayOne.com but taking out a loan just to pay your normal bills can set you up to be very financially unstable. It’s fine on a rare occasion to do that, but it’s nowhere near as good as saving. One tip I’ve found that works well for this is to save at least 20 percent of everything you make, other than saving for taxes. This way, after awhile you’ll have a nice, fat cushion of extra money that you may or may not need. It’s good when you need it.

Own Nook.

rocking chair

Wouldn’t it be great to have your own space at home? When life gets busy and you need your space, you are assured of a place to retreat to and have to yourself. My idea of my nook would be like the one pictured above. I personally chose to have no computers – but situate a chair near a window so I can look far into space when I am lost in my own thoughts.

What’s yours? I better look for tampa car rental options for my cousin’s Florida vacation soon too. Be back!

Chef Jackets for the Busy Moms who Cook

Although I am a stay at home mom, I have admiration for moms who try to balance their work life and home life. I know how difficult it is to do things at home while rushing to and from work. One of the challenges of being a working mom is cooking for the family. Some friends of mine who are working mothers complain of having to rush with cooking every morning and when they come home in the evening. I thought that it would be great for them to buy chef jackets so that their work attires are protected from the usual kitchen splatters they could get while cooking.

iD by Landau offers numerous chef uniforms that I’m sure a regular working mom would appreciate. They have coats, shirts, pants, and hats. I am thinking of buying a chef jacket for myself since I am planning to do more cooking in the future and of course, I would want protection for my clothes while cooking in the kitchen. The least expensive coat that they offer is merely $8.99 and the coats comes in numerous sizes so I could even buy some to give to friends. Although we are not really chefs, there is no reason why we could not feel like one when we are cooking in our own kitchens.

Occupational Therapy Jobs: What are they?

The term occupational therapy has been around for many years now. However, ask a normal person whether he or she knows what it is and chances are you would get a blank look. Despite the high demand for occupational therapy jobs, many people are still not aware of what it is that occupational therapists do. Unlike physical therapy jobs and physical therapist assistant jobs which are becoming quite popular, occupational therapy has yet to be put in the limelight.

Occupational therapy is simply the practice of occupation. Here, occupation refers to the normal and regular process of everyday living like eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, writing, driving, meal preparation, and many more. The job of an occupational therapist is to work with a client so that the client can be functional and independent in his or her everyday life. The role of an occupational therapist can be better understood with the usual clients that they have. They often work with people who have permanent disabilities, children, elderly, those who have mental health problems, those with learning disabilities, terminally ill patients, people who have chronic pain, and many more. These people are those who have difficulty performing the usual daily tasks on their own so an occupational therapists help them learn to manage despite their difficulties.

Scrubs for Women

When I was still in nursing school, we were required to wear the traditional white uniform with white stockings, shoes and cap for internship. It is quite uncomfortable for me and a struggle to keep my uniform clean and spot-free especially when you are assigned to a busy unit. Spills, blood stains and everything else can happen. The only time we are allowed to wear scrub uniforms was when we had the Delivery Room and Operating Room rotation.

I know that scrubs for women have become more fashionable lately with the appearance of prints and the addition of more lively colors than the usual green scrub uniforms you see in the hospital all the time. Even nursing uniforms are more flexible as students can now wear scrubs to internship duties.

I would love to be able to get into a scrub uniform again, this time to practice as a nurse.

Me Time.

I have a plan to take a full day-off for myself once August comes in. I have been delaying too many self-gratifications for so long, like a facial and hair treatment, along with a foot scrub and massage, for so long now that I need to do this for myself. If I knew that cosmetology would be so in demand, I would have enrolled in the Florida cosmetology School of Regency! Founded more than 50 years ago in Minneapolis, Regency is the fastest growing beauty school in the country. Regency has expanded from two Minnesota schools in 2002 to almost 30 campuses across nine states, with continued growth underway for next year.

Thankful for Ebooks

Most of my friends now own an iPod or iPhone. I for one, own an iPhone which I find very useful as it lets me keep in touch with my family and friends. It also provides entertainment and amusement to my kids through the iTunes applications, movies and music. Being a bookworm, what I love most about my iPhone is that I can read my favorite ebooks using it. I can proudly say that I was able to finish more books now that I own an iPhone. Speaking of ebooks, I recently came across a website which an ebook publisher can find useful – Aptaracorp.com, which is the the leading service provider when it comes to high quality digital publishing. Summer Clothes.

Hello Summer!

The summer heat is unbearable, as much as winter has given record-breaking temperatures in the East, this summer is giving us record-breaking temperatures as well. The highest recorded as 37C and it is only the start of summer. We need summer clothes fast! Well, the kids have complete clothes (too much clothes in fact!) I need summer clothes – shirt dresses, shorts (I dont have any!), tank tops! I need to buy a new swimsuit too. I need a women’s style guide to buy these things because I am not trendy when it comes to fashion.

But for me to be able look nice in all the summer clothes I plan to buy – I need to work out first and lose weight. My friend recommended I try running or yoga and the thought of fitting into yoga clothes scared me!

Let’s try running first!

Collectibles

I am a collector at heart. I have been collecting knick knacks and all sorts of things since I was little, from stickers to stationeries to pocketbooks then letters, clothes, shoes and bags. Now that I am married, I try to control my collector side because it usually translates to clutter all over the house. I married a collector/clutterer as well, that’s why! I am thinking of starting a collection that will be invaluable (in terms of money) in the future, like coins or designer bags or jewelry! These lladro collectibles can qualify as such.

I am sure Disney die-hard fans would love to get their hands on this collection! This is the all Swarovski Disney Snow White collection valued at $1,025.00!! In ten years, who knows how much would this set cost!

You can invest on anything Mickey Mouse too. This is valued at $125.00 (Dimensions: 1 13/16 x 2 3/8 inches.)
