I really love the idea of loft beds. If only my kids do not grow so fast every year!
I think I finally have made a choice on what I really prefer our house to be. It might not happen exactly was I want it to be though as high ceilings are so hard to maintain – but anyone can dream, right? And when you dream, you just need to dream big.
We love books. If money was just an endless supply and we do not have to work too hard for it, I would have spent so much on books already.
My personal favorite is this though:
Love the stair feature that goes to a loft, which maybe a reading room! If only I have unlimited funds to have a big house.
The average person spends years of his life sleeping. With that thought in mind, you want to make sure your bed is comfortable for you. But with so many different mattress and bed options to choose from, narrowing down which one to buy can be difficult.
Things to take into account when deciding on the type of bed you are going to buy include:
Price. New mattresses and bed sets range from a hundred dollars or so to thousands of dollars, depending on the size, brand, and features. You generally want to purchase the nicest bed you can afford, since a bad mattress can result in back and muscle pain and poor sleep habits. You can also find used mattresses (if that is a route you would like to take) for fairly inexpensive prices.
Size. Most mattresses are twin, full, queen (also called a double bed), and king, with twin being the smallest one-person bed, to full and queen sleeping two comfortably, to king, which is larger. When choosing the size of your bed, consider your height, how many people are sleeping in it (is it just you or you and your spouse), and how much space you or your partner likes when you sleep.
Firmness. Some people like soft, pillowtop mattresses. Others prefer to sleep on one that is more firm. Try different types of beds and see what you find most comfortable. If a fancier pillow-top bed is out of your budget, you can purchase mattress pads inexpensively that can add a lot of cushioning to your bed.
Going to different stores and trying out different beds is a good way to tell what type of bed you think you will be best suited to. It’s also a good way to comparison shop so you can make sure you’re getting the best price.
I prefer my bathroom to be white with splashes of colors. But the walls should be white, it’s an OC trait in me I guess. However, sometimes I think having color would be fun. Love the colors and patterns in these bathrooms:
Since I work from home, I never tire of looking for effective work spaces for myself. My preferences change over time, fickle-minded as I am.
I just want it to be conducive enough for me to be able to work – that’s my main criteria. For it be filled with everything I need and have space for everything I tend to have is the second
My first choice: (Since I love Ikea!)
It’s a good thing I have a boy and a girl as children so that I can satisfy my feminine will on decorating for my girl. I never had a room of my own when I was a kid so I might be reflecting what I would have wanted to have.
An attic room:
Pink and Brown – a favorite, perfect for small places too:
Feminine at its finest:
I have been feeling the need to give my son a room of his own lately. And while we still do not have a house for it, it doesn’t stop me from looking at the options I can give him. I am still quite partial for loft beds, simply because it will be more space-efficient (I am thinking we can only afford a small house).
I might be wishing too hard though because I am talking about a 10-year old kid here but you get the design idea
I have a fetish for clean and beautiful bathrooms. Maybe because I cannot forget what my mother told me before that the state of a house’s bathroom is clear indication of the state of the rest of the house. So whenever I go to new houses, I tend to sneak a peek into their bathrooms
This is me who seldom needs bathroom breaks during trips. (I heard Lipofuze makes you pee twice as much, is this true?)
An amazing sample that not all small bathrooms don’t have much chance of being decorated:
the truly gorgeous home Nikole Herriot, as seen on Design*Sponge
I can totally imagine my husband loving this spot.
