Eco Friendly Rugs: Natural Fiber Area Rugs

Area Rugs are a staple in any home. You actually see and need it everywhere – from the hallway, doorstep, bedroom, kitchen or bathroom! Cheap Area Rugs are aplenty in most home and furnishing stores. Discount Area Rugs are often a fixed area in a store. They key here is to be able to find a quality but affordable area rug for your home that can last some serious people traffic, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. These rugs should be able to hold some good wear and tear.

You can take a step farther and buy “green” rugs – those that are friendly to the environment. Natural fiber area rugs are one of them. They actually have several advantages. For starters, all area rugs made of plant fibers soak up water easily and are best placed in areas where they are least likely to be spilled upon. The one exception could be rugs made of seagrass, which is harvested from saltwater marshes – this makes the fiber more likely to resist stains. They are also a much preferred option for people with allergies and chemical sensitivities as opposed to rugs made of synthetic fibers that are often treated or dyed using chemicals, which trigger off allergies.
