Family Vacation Time at Breezes

Even with the economic slump, you can still have affordable family vacations especially this summer! With family vacation packages being offered by almost every hotel and resort this season, you can plan and have a great trip with your family! The family vacation destinations – Brazil and Jamaica – have Breezes Resorts that are great for families with younger children, as are their resorts in Brazil and Panama.

I know as a child I would have loved a Breezes resort vacation. As they are all inclusive I wouldn’t have had to bug my parents by asking for money every time I wanted a snack or a drink. I wouldn’t have to listen to "No, you don’t need that, wait until lunch time." Also as a kid I loved swimming, and the Breezes resort pools are amazing and have water slides. I love water slides now even as an adult. When I was a kid the water slides were just a basic slide that wasn’t very long that you rode quickly down to the water. The water slide in the Breezes Jamaica family resort is amazingly long and splashing my way down it would have kept me happy for most of the day, that just never gets boring. Breezes resorts are also located near beautiful beaches and I just loved playing in the sand and exploring beaches when I was young. There are other kid’s activities too, which is a great idea because it is a chance to make some friends with the other children who are there.

All in all a Breezes family resort vacation would have been just the kind of vacation I would have loved as a kid, and as a parent this kind of vacation seems like a great idea too. Things for the kids to do, things for the parents to do, things to do together and things to do with others. All the good food and beverages included and the great resort activities just makes it a total family vacation package.

Hot Air Balloon

Did you know that today, June 5, is the anniversary of the first hot air balloon? I would like to thank Google for the piece of nifty information. Hot air balloon rides have been there as long as I can remember but Sedona balloon rides are more popular. First of all, a Sedona hot air balloon ride takes you up in the air to view Arizona’s Red Rock Country in Sedona — recently named one of the top five destinations in the U.S. by TripAdvisor. If you book Sky High Balloons’ Sedona hot air balloon rides, you get to see Arizona’s Valle Verde in all its fiery glory as they have tours during sunrise. Imagine what a glorious view you will have of the skyline with the terrain and dessert below! They also will give you the unique experience of the "Splash ‘n Dash" where the balloon descends momentarily on water for a gentle ride. Their flight also offers low contour flying for spotting native wildlife and an ascent for just a hint of high altitude enjoyment. When the balloon sets softly down, you are then taken to a relaxing commemorative picnic and presented with a first flight certificate. That heavenly tour is only $180 per passenger and last three to four hours, with you up in the air for one and a half hours!

Toronto Canada Tourist Spots

A friend is so excited, in a few days, she will be visiting her sister who just delivered the most adorable baby girl. She will be there to help out during the first tough months but she is also excited to do some sight-seeing! Toronto hotels have been fully-booked during the Winter Olympics so she is thankful her niece decided to show up a few weeks after. She wants to go to the CN Tower, Casa Loma, experience the African Lion Safari, Medieval Times Dinner, Ontario Science Center and Wild Water Kingdom!

Summer Accessories

Summer is here and everybody can’t wait to hit the beach! While most people want to swim and enjoy the sun, most women see it as a chance to parade their swimsuits and get a tan! So what do you need when lazing around the beach? A pair of sunglasses of course! It does not only keep your eyes protected from the harmful rays of the sun, it lets you do people watching discreetly too. From the aviators, rimless, Jackie O, cat eye, oversized glasses, sunglasses has become a fashion accessory! For summer accessories, a big beach towel (maybe for sharing), a wide brimmed hat, a pocketbook for light reading, flip flops and tanning lotion of course! Do not bring jewelries to the beach – funky hoops or dangling earrings can be OK, just don’t bring the real stuff – it has big chances of getting lost!

Exploring Unexpected Travel Destinations

Spring is a much-awaited season. After record-breaking temperatures, numerous snowstorms and blizzards this winter, I know we are all looking forward to much higher temperatures but not enough to break us into sweat. Spring is very much anticipated! Of course, with changing of seasons to spring and summer, vacations are planned and travel is in a lot of families’ itinerary. That is why most popular vacation destinations are always fully booked. I personally think that having a lot of people in the same resort/theme park/museum even if it is in a great area takes out a lot of fun. Who needs long lines and busy people around when you travelled because you need some R&R? That is why I am leaning towards the vacation ideas I saw online. We can explore lesser know cities for the same experience on a much cheaper level, with less people.

You can look up vacation deals online. Here are some ideas of the cities you can go to. MyCitiesGuide.com has a much comprehensive list with feedback too. Go check it out!

Experience European Culture

One of my dream vacation spots would definitely be Europe. I would love to explore the continent someday – there is something there that I cannot describe: history and culture, fashion, arts. Plus, going around countries by car or train in a matter of hours is a definite plus. I can imagine it now – I am going to be lining up in museums and taking tours and just walking around the city. I just really envision Europe (Paris to be exact) to have this cobbled streets peppered with quaint coffee shops like in the movie Sabrina.

Of course, what would traveling and experiencing Europe be without eating? Eating for me is a different experience together. Being able to try different foods prepared for a different tongue (people) excites me. Restaurants and restaurant hopping is also on my list. I heard that Restaurants London have quite the intercontinental restaurants in their area, being able to taste different cuisines – Greek, Indian, Italian – will be a treat!

I need to try out their coffee shops too. I love coffee and it most perfectly goes well with cake (I should know!) or something sweet! I read that the following have popular ratings and good feedbacks from real customers:
1. Molly Bakes
Sunday Upmarket, Hanbury Street, London E1 6QL

2. Paul A Young Fine Chocolates – Islington
33 Camden Passage, London N1 8EA

3. Dose Espresso – Barbican
69 Long Lane, London EC1A 9EJ

4. Riverside Studios – Hammersmith
Crisp Road, Hammersmith, London

Maybe I can try the Pubs London has to offer too!

Here are the top 3 in London:
1. St. John Bar & Restaurant – Farringdon
26 St. John Street, Finsbury, London

2. Riverside Studios – Hammersmith
Crisp Road, Hammersmith, London

3. The Gunmakers – Clerkenwell
13 Eyre Street Hill, London EC1R 5ET

I really like to experience what it would be like in a pub. Would it be like a bar or a club or generally a drinking area like what we see in movies?

Plans for the Summer

I have been going over our forecasted budget vs savings to see if we can afford to travel this summer, not far but a resort. It would be nice to treat the kids out and swim. We have not been doing that for the past three summers. I think we can squeeze one in, though not as grand as we want it to be. We need to make sure we don’t spend the kids’ enrollment money and the money set aside for the policy we decided to get among the insurance quote policies we read through.
